Linda Hollenbeck has been practicing law in California for nearly 30 years, specializing in Residential and Commercial Landlord/Tenant Law, including Affordable Housing Law, Fair Housing Law and Rent Control Law. Linda and her partner/daughter Tania Cardoso, opened their firm, Hollenbeck & Cardoso, LLP in May, 2009. Linda started out her legal career at the Fair Housing Council of Orange County, while still in Law School. She quickly found her nitch in the Landlord/Tenant arena after being forced to evict her own ‘tenant from hell’. In order to stay on top of the issues that are important to her clients, Linda sits on the Executive Board of CAA-LA, and has acted as their Chair of the Fair Housing/Discrimination Subcommittee for the past 3 years. She currently sits on the Affordable Housing Subcommittee and the Legal and Judicial Policy Subcommittee. Linda also acts as a Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court ruling on Civil Harassment matters (Restraining Orders)., She frequently provides seminars on landlord/tenant, fair housing, and rent control laws, and she spends a significant amount of her time in the Courtroom. Linda and everyone in her office has a passion for evicting those people that are refusing to pay their rent, or those tenants that are disrupting management from doing their job, and disrupting those good tenants that keep our industry alive.
